my mom and I never really got on, and one of my sisters essentially raised me.
I think I was still in junior high when this happened.

one evening my mom and I had been butting heads and I huffed off. after leaving the room I said, out loud and quite angrily, "I hate you."
I'd been certain I was out of earshot of my mom.
however, my sister had been coming around the corner and then asked me who I was talking to.
I knew I'd be "in trouble" if I said 'mom' so I answered her with 'you' instead.

her birthday would have been next week.
