fuck me, indeed

so that stuff I wanted from ikea?  a bookcase and a tv stand...
that whole line of furniture has been discontinued and replaced with another line of furniture that is a similar style, but guess what!  they aren't making the bookcase in the size I need, nor the tv stand at all.
/sigh
we tried calling the ikea in dallas and the ikea in denver but couldn't get through to either of them.
I also asked my brother if he could stop by ikea in dallas (to see if they have either still in stock) and he said he would, but I haven't heard back from him since then.

I've tried looking at other stuff ikea has but I've been pretty underwhelmed.
so much of my furniture is the expedit line and it's just gone now, and the replacement stuff isn't replacing everything.

I hate to bitch all the time but I'm still in boxes since I've got nowhere to put stuff.

even more fun,
I previously had my tv wall-mounted so I had removed the base.
as I mentioned, I'm still in boxes, and have no idea where those screws are at this point.
I googled around and couldn't find anything, so I contacted the tv mfg's support dept.
they replied with a photo of the screws.  and a length and width measurement.
I took my photo down to lowe's (no home depot around here) and we got the screws they told me would fit.
these screws, however, are so short they don't even fit all the way through the tv base.
/bigger sigh

on the bright side,
I may actually get a degree in the next few years.
seems experience is no longer an alternative to a degree, so I applied for a private school loan and got approved!
stuff still needs to clear with the school, but if it all works out I am hopefully gonna go balls to the wall and graduate.
the bf and I spent some time talking and the tuition costs at enmu are really low, so if I am gonna haft go in debt for a degree then this is the place to do it.

I've gotta write a few papers for my religion final, but if you have any suggestions as to where I can buy a modern looking black bookshelf, do let me know.

...right...

so I went to the doc a couple of times, I got two different chicks, and both were pretty convinced my coughing was allergy related.
even though I don't have allergies.
but whatevs, I started to cough less this past sunday and have been improving since then.
soon I'll be cough-free ^_^

the bf made this amazing thing the other night,
and it was ~awesome~
you should totally try it if you have the time to make the cheese sauce
(that's the sauce his sis made this past christmas)
yum~

we're still moving stuff from lubbock.
it's such a pain; I spend all week working and then about every other weekend moving shit
I still haven't unpacked much, mostly because I need furniture.
in lubbock my tv was mounted to my wall, and I don't know that they'd let me do that here.
so instead I'm hoping to get this tv stand, next time I can visit an ikea.
pretty much the same situation for my bookshelf - I built that 8'x10' bookshelf and then screwed it into the wall.  I'm looking at this guy as a replacement, but still need to make it to an ikea
the bf is also looking into a new bed, so we're gonna haft rent an suv or something to get all the boxes back.
if we ever actually make it to ikea.
as for my bed, I've moved the posts but the bed itself is still in lubbock.
the bf got me a ps3 for my bday, and I moved my tv last weekend, and I just found my 360 earlier today, so hopefully we can get stuff set up soon-ish.

this leasing company does six month inspections, which is super fucking creepy.
as long as I'm paying rent imo you can leave me alone, but it's not like we had any other options (aside from buying a house) when we moved.
/sigh
I wanna grow up and buy a house.
I also wanna graduate.

I also need a nas.
and a new gaming pc.
/sigh

** I was gonna include links to the ikea furniture I've been hoping to buy, but I can't find it on their website.  it seems like the stuff may have been discontinued.  fuck me, right?
