David and his crew and I played Halo last night 'till ~ 0300. There were... 9, sometimes 10 of us playing. I was wearing pink. heh. Yeah, and um... when it was free for all pretty much I kept getting killed. I think my top death count was 16 and my top kills were maybe 10. When we were playing teams, well, David was on my team. And he kept betraying me!!! *grr* So yeah, I could have done a lot better if it weren't for my ~awesome~ bf who kept blowing me up. And like, I was ~definitely~ the weakest player. I was an easy kill and they kept taking it. No prize buck, these d00ds were picking off the maimed and crippled doe in the corner. *grr*
And in my defense, I've never played on an xbox before. And for those of you who don't know, I decided agst giving david an xbox live for Christmas. I went with the whole "it's the thought that counts" ideal and decided to make him something. We'll all know how it goes tomorrow. I'm really nervous and I hope he likes it.
Anyway.
We were at the mall yesterday during the day shopping for Christmas gifts. Oh gawd that boy is a cheapskate!!! It took me half an hour and all sorts of insults to get him to go over his "$50 per gift" for his mom. And it was only an extra $20! For the woman who brought him into this world, went through labor, gave birth... has stood by him for the last 27 years! On that scale, I'm liable to get one of those little fake rings from those 25 dispensers. He's fairly certain I'm gonna like his gift, so I'm pretty stoked.
I was talking to one of his friends when we were at the mall yesterday. See, David's so predictable. Like, I know he was planning on giving me something sci-fi, and it was gonna be a movie, or a season, or something "entertaining" like that. I was telling his friend this when David was on the phone so I didn't figure he was listening to me. But apparently, he was. He told me just now that he was spontaneous! That he heard what I was saying, that I was right, and that he decided on something else and I'm gonna love it. So like I said, I'm pretty stoked.
I ended up kinda copping out when it comes to his mom's gift. He decided to get her some jammies and slippers from VS, and I was gonna give her a robe. But for whatever reason I didn't. I ended up getting her a little doggy gift set for Coco. It comes with a doggy picture frame, an id tag, a key chain, and a stuffed doggy bone. It's cute, and I hope she likes it.
Well, we're heading out to the mall now...
